Why did Jesus come to Earth?
He came for you!
Jesus came that you and I may have a new life in Him!
A “start over”, “fresh start” and a life more abundant!
Here at Zion Christian Center, we consider it our honor, privilege and our God given responsibility to spread God’s message of Love, Salvation and Freedom. It is Jesus and He alone that offers you Peace, Freedom and Salvation.
WHAT IS SALVATION? Salvation is God's Gift to us...to us it’s free, but for God it cost him is only begotten son. Why? because on the cross Jesus Christ became the sacrifice for our sins. He paid for our salvation with His blood.
Like any other gift, God’s gift of salvation doesn’t become ours until we accept it.
"But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)
Before we go any further... you can accept Christ as your Lord and Savior today! Just say the following prayer with us...
Dear God, thank you for having greater purposes for my life. I acknowledge that I have failed to live for you on my own and that I have sinned against you. But I believe that Jesus Christ, Your only Son, died to pay for my sins and rose again from the dead so that I could trust in Him as my Savior and have eternal life. I receive Jesus today as my Savior and commit to live the rest of my life for Him and for Your glory! Amen.
WHAT IS REPENTANCE? In order to live out God’s intended purposes for you, not only during your life on earth, but for all of eternity in heaven, you must respond to what Jesus did for you on the cross. God doesn’t force people to turn to Him and become His children, but He lovingly and openly adopts anyone and everyone who comes to Him by faith in Jesus.
“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved… For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:9,13 ESV)
IS BAPTISM NECESSARY? After we have confessed and accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, Repented from a life that had once kept us separated from him, BAPTISM is the next step.
Baptism is not for "cleaning our outside" but it is a "cleaning of our soul". Through BAPTISM we publicly denounce our old lives and take on a brand new life in Christ!
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. " (Act 2:38 KJV)
